Stonebridge Golf Club logoWounded Warrior Project logoOver 2,000 participants at 80 golf courses, including Rome's own Stonebridge Golf Club, helped Billy Casper's Golf Management company break the Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Golf Outing.

According to Joe Cieri, Stonebridge's general manager, the Stonebridge field consisted of 48 players. The winning team shot 60. The round featured a score of 29 on the back nine including five birdies and an eagle. Team members included Thomas Johnson, Jody Jamison, GW Cummings and Cason Dremann.

Cieri said the record wasn't broken by a slim margin, but by 70%! The August 18th outing raised $43,000 to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Nearly 100 Wounded Warriors and their guests, from coast-to-coast, attended the first annual event. They helped bring awareness to this all important non-profit organization, dedicated to tending to the needs of our injured service men and women.
