Congratulations to Rob VanGorder – the 2014 Rome Tour Champion!

VanGorder finished tied for 2nd in the season ending Rome Tour Championship Tournament this past weekend at Cherokee Golf & Country Club (Cedartown, Ga) and earned 70 points to edge Brady Garrett by three points for the overall top spot in the season long points race.

Congratulations also to Colin Doss for picking up his second win on the RT this year with a 5-under 103 score in the rain shortened event. Play was canceled on Saturday and 27 holes played Sunday to decide the Champions.

Entering the final tournament of the year, VanGorder, Garrett, Doss, Martin Ball, and Tobin Ayers all had mathematical opportunities to win the overall RT Championship and the eventual winner was not decided until the last putt dropped!

Thanks to all of our supporting golf courses and players for making this 2014 season a success and we all look forward to the 2015 season!
