Local Junior Gives Himself Great Birthday Present

78University of Georgia golf logoLocal junior Jonathan Bryan, who was celebrating his 13th birthday today, shattered his career low by three strokes, carding a 78!  He did this in his last Atlanta Junior Golf Association summer event held at the University of Georgia Golf Course. Jonathan had three birdies on the day—another first for him.  Two of those birdies came back-to-back, another first.  His second birdie of the day came on the par 5 #12.  His drive brought him to within 162 yards to the pin.  After nearly holing his eagle putt, his tapped in for birdie.  On the par 3 13th, his tee shot stopped 3 feet from the hole giving him an easy birdie putt.

Unfortunately, his 78 wasn't quite enough to take first place, which went to Grant Sutliff from Suwanee, who carded a 76.
